Dear Flowering Rock Farm Community,

Happy New Year! We are a tad late as I’m writing this already the middle of January – but better late than never. How time flies! Life is busy with a toddler and preschooler, and we enjoyed spending the holidays with our little family. We are so excited we have made it to our third year and look forward to everything that is to come.

Farm Stand Open: Our farm stand is still open with our eggs! As previously announced before the holidays — our eggs are now only $5 a dozen! We do ask for your support in returning your clean cartons back to the stand to help offset carton costs. Special thank you to all those that donated your extra cartons to us as well! We will continue with eggs at the stand and send out an announcement once we have spring plant starts, herbs and flowers.

Weekly Egg Pick-Up: For those of you who are unable to drive to our farm stand, I am having a weekly egg pick up at the Food Lion in Fairview on Tuesday mornings. If you are interested in meeting for weekly eggs, please contact me to get on the list!

Dried Flowers: We have a limited amount of dried flower creations available for purchase for Valentine’s Day or any other special occasion this Spring. You can find them on our store website. These can be picked up from our stand, delivered locally, or shipped. They are the last of our dried flowers until late summer so don’t miss out!

Flowers: We are preparing our seeds now to start for the spring and summer! We can’t wait for new and returning varieties. Stay tuned to social media to see live updates. However, right now is the time to purchase a Summer CSA subscription! It’s never too early to purchase a summer subscription for you or your loved ones – plus it helps with our early farm purchases. It makes a great gift to look forward to flowers every week come summer!

Baby Chicks: Though it’s freezing this week, Spring is right around the corner – which means time for baby chicks! We would love to help you add to your own flock. With our high-quality incubator, we can hatch chicks just for you! We have a mix of Easter Egger, Black Australorp, golden comets, silkies, and wyandotte. I can select a mix of their eggs or by color (blue/green/brown) if you prefer. These will be sold straight run (unsexed) for $5/chick or $25 for 6. Reach out and we can set it up!
