Dear Flowering Rock Farm Community,

We can’t believe that September is already upon us! We hope this newsletter finds you well! Here’s the latest news and updates from our farm:

Flower Bar Events: The past 2 weeks have been filled with blooms! We had a successful bouquet bar event at Petals & Provisions, as well as GertonFest. Thank you to all that attended! We hope you enjoyed making your own bouquet as much as I enjoyed helping you do so. If you are interested in having a flower bar at your next event, please contact us! It would be a great addition to a bridal shower, baby shower, or birthday party.

Bouquets: Don’t forget! Our mixed bouquet jars may be purchased at our Farm Stand between 10AM-7PM (first come, first serve), Bearwallow Provision Company, the Lake Lure Farmer’s Market, or email floweringrockfarmnc@gmail.com for a local delivery.

Pizza Nights at Bearwallow Provision Company:

• Saturday, September 7, 12-6PM: Fall Artisan Festival 1-6PM with live music, craft vendors, and our pizza!
• Saturday, September 14th, 12-6PM

Farm Stand Reminders: Located at 3761 Gerton Hwy, our stand features fresh, sustainably grown flower bouquets and eggs (when available). Payment can be made on the honor system with cash, Venmo (@floweringrockfarm), and Zelle (floweringrockfarmnc@gmail.com). Please respect our farm stand and the flowers available.

Cool Season Flowers: As the heat of the summer begins to fade, we are getting ready to plant our cool season flowers to enjoy blooms in the Spring! We have started feverfew, calendula, bee balm, yarrow, and sweet william. We are very appreciative of the Laughing Waters / Hickory Nut Forest Community Garden for allowing us to expand our planting space to begin transplanting soon! Stay tuned on our social media for updates on the progress.
